I am happy to have joined, as a student representative, the « Ocean for Climate Days » that was held during the twenty-second session of the United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP 22) that took place in Marrakech, Morocco from 7 to 18 November 2016.
This forum was free and open for all and was organized by the Ocean & Climate Platform, the UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission and the Global Ocean Forum. It gathered scientists, economic actors, and decision-makers to discuss the links between ocean and climate and its integration in the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
Great outcome from this forum !! The Ocean and Climate Platform is launching an international ocean and climate action alliance, with the support of COP21 President and Minister for the Environment, Energy and the Sea in charge of climate negotiations, Ségolène Royal.
